For the first time this season, Angelina College head women's basketball coach Randy McKelvey had a full roster on his hands after playing the first two games short-handed.
The Lady Roadrunners got something from every player, leading to AC's 69-60 win over Hill College Wednesday at Shands Gymnasium.
India McMahon led the team in scoring with 21 points, going 7-of-11 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point range. McMahon also converted all four of her free-throw attempts and swiped three steals.
Teammate Lanaijha Johnson notched a double-double, finishing with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Alicia Rivera-Scott added 16 points.
Precious Jackson-Sanders led the Lady Rebels with 15 points.
A swarming Lady 'Runner defense held Hill College to just nine points in the first quarter, limiting the Lady Rebels to just 32 percent shooting from the field.
AC's ladies (2-1) will travel to Tyler this weekend to participate in the Tyler Classic at Wagstaff Gymnasium. The Lady 'Runners face Collin County Community College at 3 p.m. on Friday before taking on South Plains College at noon on Saturday.
