Bio

Assistant softball coach Bailey Frenzel made quite a name for herself as a player at Angelina College from 2021-2023, earning two-way All-American honors (NFCA 2nd Team All-American, NJCAA 2nd Team All-American) while also taking home the Region XIV Player of the Year and South Zone Player of the Year awards. She was also a two-time 1st Team All-Region Infielder, as well as a 1st Team All-Conference selection. In addition, Frenzel was a two-time Academic All-American.

Her freshman season saw her explode onto the collegiate scene as a power hitter when she batted .503, rocked 17 homers and drove in 64 runs. She finished her career at AC with 27 homers, a .429 career batting average and a .772 career slugging percentage.

In her sophomore season as a Lady Roadrunner, Frenzel led her team to the national tournament in Oxford, Alabama and a finish in the nation’s Top 10.

 From AC, Frenzel went on to play at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, earning a starting role in each of her two years there. She earned 1st Team All-American Southwest Conference honors, the ASC Distinguished Scholar Athlete Award and was a three-time ASC Hitter of the Week. Other awards at UMHB included Academic All-District (twice), 2nd Team All-ASC and the ASC All-Tournament team. 

Frenzel earned an associate’s degree in Health Science and a Bachelor of General Studies in Exercise Science and Science.

Angelina College marks her first official coaching position, although she’s given hitting lessons and assisted with several select organizations throughout the Southeast Texas area.
