Manager of Athletics Operations Brett Reeves begins his first year with Angelina College following a long career serving as a coach and athletic director at Trinity School in Longview, Texas.
Reeves is retired from the Houston Police Department after suffering a service injury. After that, he began his athletic career in 2011 as a defensive coordinator at Trinity. His team competed in a state championship game in 2014, finishing as state runners-up.
From 2018-2023, Reeves served as AD and track coach, leading his track teams to six state titles and his cross country team to a runners-up finish in the state tournament. In addition, with Reeves as AD, Trinity won several state titles in basketball and tennis, with more than 25 Trinity athletes named to All-State teams and nine athletes moving up to the collegiate level.
Reeves earned his B.A. in Human Services from the University of Alabama and his M.A. in Sociology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake.
Reeves and his wife Misty have five children: Nick, Miranda, Marlin, Abby and Christian. Marlin currently plays football at the University of Washington, while Abby is a Presidential Scholar at Mississippi State University. Christian is entering the sixth grade at Cushing Independent School District.
