Assistant softball coach Sandy Lopez enters her first year with the Lady Roadrunners following impressive athletic and academic achievements at both the high school and collegiate levels.
Lopez was a four-year player (and first-generation college student) at Texas Wesleyan University, where she earned her B.S. in Education while landing on the Dean’s List during five semesters.
Before attending college, Lopez won a state title with Katy High School in 2015. She was also a 1st Team All-Academic and 1st Team All-District catcher at Cy Woods High School.
Lopez grew up in Miami, Florida.
